Name: Maria Pearl
Location: South London (Bang bang!)
Occupation/what you're working on:
What three words best describe your style?
What is your favorite go-to look?
Cropped pencil trousers, a vintage tourist t-shirt, biker jacket and low sk8 vans (all black of course)
Name one thing someone would be surprised to know about you.
People don't actually know that I am an artist or that I know how to manufacture clothes, so I guess there's that lol
What is one guilty pleasure you enjoy too much to give up?
Rio- the fizzy drink, if I had the opportunity I could drink about 12 cans in a day ffs.
What do you think about more than anything else?
My daughter..or how much editing I need to do on my laptop LOL
If you had to change your name, what would you change it to?
Charlie Chanel, don't ask.just don't
Where is your favorite spot to eat in NYC?
I've never been..I'm stuck here in the UK but I'm yet to go soon *fingers crossed!*
What is your all time favorite book?
The War Of Art by Steven Pressfield
What are your favorite places to shop/brands right now?
Ermmm, still love a good old charity shop or car boot sale. I hardly shop high street to be honest, but I also lust over trainers so sports shops are interesting to browse into occasionally as well.
If you had the chance to fly anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
Tokyo, no hesitation. Just get me there. Now.
Where do you see yourself five years from now?
By Gods grace, I'll be in a position where I can help those who need a voice (in the creative industry) or just to raise awarness for a good cause. I can't really pinpoint the profession because you never know what's around the corner..literally just going with the wind.
If you were a season, which would you be?
Early autumn (leather jacket weather LOL)
Why is having a personal style important to you?
It's a part of who you are, its an external representation of yourself and sometimes it's a way of interacting without speaking- that's what I believe anyway.
And since I own a vintage shop, I need to be a walking advert too :P
Glazed NYC piece that is totally you:
Donyale. LOVE IT
